Are You Getting Enough Sleep?

Being awake for 21 hours has the same performance deficit as having a blood alcohol level over the driving limit. That's around three pints of beer. This is not very helpful if you are training for an event.

Not getting enough sleep can increase pain and decrease motor performance, as well as reducing immunity. So it's important you try and get an appropriate amount of sleep for a happier and healthier life.

Only around 10-15% of the entire population are early risers and get out of bed first thing to start their day. The vast majority prefer to lie in or have difficulty getting out of bed in the morning.

Alarm Clock Sleeping

Not getting enough sleep can:

  • impair your memory
  • increase irritability
  • make you become impulsive
  • increases your risk taking
  • make you less alert
  • reduce productivity
